RE: murder vs mansluaghter
But what about a situation where you accidentally kill someone, no intention, but you were taking a big risk in whatever you were doing that ultimately killed the person? Should that be punished? And err, I was having problems getting a really kinda freak accident for my example lol. It is kinda gru...

RE: murder vs mansluaghter
My opinion is pretty much that accidental deaths (and I mean accidental; that does not, in my books, include driving over the speed limit and then "accidentally" hitting a pedestrian) should not be punished. For example, X is fishing and his hook flies off when he's casting his line; it hits Y, who ...

RE: Landmark case for liberty
Everyone's DNA should be kept if you ask me. Unless you've got something to hide, why would you care? That's all very well in an ideal world (though I guess in an ideal world there would be no need for it!), but the world's far from ideal. Even if you can trust today's politicians and governments (...

RE: Capital punishment
Death penalty for murder, yes. For justice, not on the basis of 'eye for eye' ... there is a difference, at least in my mind! For rapists ... don't like the whole castration idea. There is something kinda vengeful about it. I think the legal system should deal out justice, not revenge. Leave revenge...

RE: Network Problems
I've been laptop-less for a week; came back on today, only to find LPT replaced by a 'this page cannot be displayed' message. Glad to see it back.
