[quote=johnruddock] Hi philbell, What happens if this "core subject" ie RE is just ignored by the pupil ? For instance if he attends all the lessons etc but doesn't bother trying to pass the gcse and concentrates soley on his other subjects. After all you can lead a horse to water but can't make it d...

RE: Religion Stuff
I pretty much agree with phillbell. As far as I can tell, being part of a particular religion doesn't stop you learning about other religions. It's not like it can be considered "preaching" to a false God, or false idea, so why should anyone who happens to call themselves a Jew, Muslim or even Chris...

RE: Strikes
The only real impact the recent credit crunch and pay disputes have had on me is in the housing market. I'd like to buy my first house, and while the house prices are supposedly going down, so too are the number of mortgages on offer. The interest rates are going up, and so everything is still as ba...

RE: Mugabe trying to 'steal election'
I dont know what the guy's playing at. You'd think 30 years of reigning down terror on people would be enough for anyone, but nope. He wants more. There's no other excuse for the delay. At this point, I think he's stuck. It's obvious why he doesn't want the results to be announced, and now that it's...

RE: murder vs mansluaghter
Yeah, again though, people shouldn't be punished for being stupid. 'A' clearly didn't intend for 'B' to be killed, however stupid he might have been. If I was 'A' I know I'd feel pretty bad about what happened, and I'd have learnt my lesson, that's for sure.

RE: Rush comments on black president
So what did he say about having a black president?
I have to say, it does amaze me how much of a big deal people make of the whole "black president" issue.
