RE: He got 8.5 years.

Attempted murder is basically as bad as actual murder, if you ask me. The old saying says "it's the thought that counts", and I think that applies here. 8.5 years for wanting to kill someone isn't really enough, although with the prison systems being what they are, they probably cant give any more t...

RE: Got into university

Aye, stay away from Oxford Brookes - it's using the Oxford name for the reputation! (Sorry Lad!!) :P :P Congrats on getting in, though. Seriously, uni is the best thing ever, apart from sex and beer, but then you find both of those things in plentiful supply at uni anyway, so all is good! From my ex...

RE: Attacking the emergency services.

Even if the law were changed and we here in the UK were able to defend ourselves with deadly weapons, for example, I don't think I actually could. Even if the law was on my side, I don't think I'd be able to just because of my own morals. :P :P But something desperately needs to be done about these ...

RE: Prince Harry to leave Afghanistan ...

I didn't think he should have been out there at all. Who's bright idea was it, anyway? In my opinion, it's a stupid move to send anyone of "importance" out to fight. Imagine if he'd been killed? What would that have done to the morale of the troops, and the country? More importantly, how good would ...

RE: Landmark case for liberty

I can understand why people might not want all of their personal and private information stored by the government, but there's a huge difference between the government having a record of your DNA, and the government knowing everything there is to know about you. What with illegal immigration, and cr...

RE: Energy saving day!

Hehe that's not surprising. As you can see from my screenshot, the actual consumption was above the predicted consumption long before the day was out.

Better luck next year I guess. :P :P

RE: You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?

Pretty sure. Well perhaps it isn't the mouthwash that's doing the stripping, but it certainly removes any unwanted nasties. The mouthwash itself is great, by the way. It just made me laugh how something so gross was used as a marketing point. "LOOK! You see those bits? That's the lining of your mout...

Everyone's DNA should be kept if you ask me. Unless you've got something to hide, why would you care?

Heh, I do those things anyway! :P :P :P Good to see that there's a day where it's brought to everyone's attention though. I know we all hear about energy saving all the time anyway, but a few practical tips never go amiss. Lol at the "real-time consumption meter": http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...

RE: You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?

You know what advert has really ground my gears this week? That advert for mouthwash that you have to shake to "unleash the power" of it. I forget what it's called now (all thanks to the power of advertising) but it annoys the hell out of me. You know the advert I mean - the girl shakes the bottle u...
