MP expenses

Post by philbell » Tue May 12, 2009 11:43 pm

This issue really makes my blood boil. Never mind within the rules and paying money back. It is too little too late. It shows how corrupt the politicians are and any that have shown to have made false claims should be thrown out IMMEDIATELY!! They have acted immorally, taken us all for a ride and treated us like fools.
We struggle along on our meagre wages, get taxed to the hilt everywhere and they blow all of our money on their lifestyles. This is just plain wrong. Why do they need massive second houses? Why do we furnish them? Why can’t they bloody well hoover the house themselves? Why do they need pieces of art and the like at our expense? Etc. etc.etc…….. The list goes on.
None of these people can be trusted WHATSOEVER. I sometimes go away with work and have expenses that I can claim back. If I put in a claim it would be scrutinised before I was paid out. If I made a false claim, say added 100 miles to my journey @ 10p a mile, that is £10 more than I should have claimed, I would expect suspension at least and probably the sack. I recently went to London on a business trip and in 2 days claimed £40 and felt guilty over that, in reality it probably cost me £80 yet I felt guilt in putting in the claim for £40. I don’t know how these people can live with themselves.
I have seen what each has claimed (can’t find the link) but not a breakdown. These people think they are untouchable and been milking us for years. Find out who your MP is, what they have claimed for and if the system has been abused vote them out.

Some of the "officials" are such liars they may need a little "water boarding" to get their attention.

Is there a list, or something? Did the Telegraph release one? (I'm a Guardian/socialist standard/socialist voice/red morning reader).

Though, to be honest, i'm voting against my MP anyway. We've got a lib dem MP, at the moment. I'm a Green/SPGB supporter.

mps are not the only ones with expenses coming out of the hard working tax payer, the supreme court judges should have a sit down and garner all the facts and immediately put an end to these outrageous expenses and also lower their salaries by 50%,and while the judges are at it they should also lower their own salaries by 75%,these judges do nothing but put more money in the rich peoples pocket at the expense of the poor
