Aiming for higher revenue

Post by donald » Thu Dec 03, 2009 10:45 am

The public sector banks did not have a prominent role in the United States until recent times. The advent of the economic recession has led to a situation in which the public and even the government are now having a rethink on the need for a greater role for the government controlled banks to restore the confidence of the common man in the financial system. One of the prominent reasons for the continuing recessionary trends is the lack of confidence to invest in a particular venture mainly due to the fear that the investment may go not be profitable.

However, even in such a situation certain parameters can be used to evaluate the various financing institutions and then zero in on the best performer. For example, the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) helps us to evaluate the revenue maximization efficiency. When using the DEA it is seen that the advent of the financial reforms had resulted in significant changes in the performance of the various players. The financial reforms helped some of the prominent government controlled banks to improve their technical efficiency. It is interesting to note that some of the government controlled financing institutions even performed better than the private players. However, only the best performing foreign banks could match those developments.

The question of improving upon the technical efficiency is rather not an easy proposition. Many of the prominent government controlled banks enjoyed greater protection in earlier times. However, it is not there as of now. If the government controlled banks were encouraged to face the competitive financial market, they would have performed better than their competitors. In this respect, banks like LoanMax of rod aycox fame offer valuable lessons. From humble beginnings, this bank has scaled great heights within a short period of time.

While the government controlled banks improved their performance, banks like LoanMax have posted the best results from among the private players. What is needed at the moment is to ensure that growth and efficiency is a consistent, stable and a continuing phenomenon. To keep up to the highest standards much effort is needed. The motivation level of the employees also must be on the higher side.

i have never heard of loanmax, who owns it max,a bank has the right to give its customers good service at all times,no ifs, ands, or buts, when a bank makes crazy decisions that are not for the good benefit of its users then that bank should be closed down asap,we do need a bank that does not know how to count :fi_lone_ranger:
