Why Britain should join the Euro
RE: Why Britain should join the Euro
I am superficially attracted to the Euro (not sure why), but it's true that we'd lose control of monetary policy to the ECB. Is that really a good idea? What's good for, say, France, Germany and Poland might not be good for the UK economy.

Losing power to the ECB is no good thing. But we have as little control over it as we do with the Bank of England.
The UK should not join the euro and instead, should nationalise and democratise the BoE.
Poland is not an issue. Were the UK to join the euro, the largest economies would still be France and Germany. The ECB evidently responds to their economies. So you are right.
However, that is the point. It is economic integration. In theory, that means policy for the European economy. In practice, it means policy in favour of the wealthier countries.

RE: Why Britain should join the Euro
I think its about the every countries own economy that how they want growth and GDP rate at the end of the year, there is not any problem to join the Euro its their own decision and pound is also very good as in Economy compare to other countries.
RE: Why Britain should join the Euro
It was obviously going to happen at some point: the economic cycle would bring us closer to the euro area economy. But this does not mean that we are now in step with them, just that we are more closely aligned in time. Arguments against the euro is stronger than ever. But recent economic condition of the Britain is not well, they are under lots of fiscal deficits.so It was equally obvious that this would lead some to argue we should join the Euro.
