Looking for members with graphical talent!

Post by appleton » Thu Sep 28, 2006 6:33 pm

A call for all those with graphical talent.. Who fancies taking on this?

We need a favicon. What's a favicon I hear you ask.

Favicon (pronounced fav-eye-con) is short for 'Favorites Icon.' A Favicon is a multi-resolution image included on nearly all professional developed sites. Within Internet Explorer the Favicon is displayed on the Address line and in the Favorites menu. The Favicon allows the webmaster to further promote their site, and to create a more customized appearance within a visitor's browser. Often, the Favicon reflects the look and feel of the web site or the organization's logo.

The image itself needs to be 16x16 and named favicon.ico

Post here your entries... if we have mulitiple and not enough voters we will rotate the image so every month a new favicon is shown created by one of you!

Below is a example of what we need!

Thanks

I like yours. I had a go in inkscape at making a "web 2.0" favicon but it turned out to be a mess.

The current one we have now is too bluey I think.

True. The example you posted looks just about right. It's hard to work with a 16x16 matrix ;)
